I will be having an art show, "WALK ON THE WILD SIDE" at the Center For Creative Arts in Grande Prairie, Alberta, running from May 6 - 27, 2011. I will donate all proceeds from the first week of the show, May 6 - 14, 2011, to the Japan Relief Fund, administered by the Canadian Red Cross. There will be Red Cross volunteers at the opening to take cash donations. Wine and food will be donated bylocal businesses for the opening.
I developed an interest in animals and art at a very young age. I started by drawing my cats, expanding into various wild animals. I worked exclusively in graphite, pastels, and pencil crayons until I turned 25, when I decided to try watercolors. I worked in watercolors for 10 years, and have now expanded into acrylics.
I now specialize in acrylic paintings of endangered wildlife species. I also paint pets, horses, and people. I have original paintings for sale, as well as limited edition giclee prints, open edition prints, art cards, and greeting cards. My limited editions are limited to 100 prints, each with a certificate of authenticity.
I am very interested in conservation, and have developed a relationship with Mountain View Conservation Society in Langley, British Columbia. I regularly donate paintings to them to support their fundraising activities, on a yearly basis.
I also donate paintings to the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound in Rosamond, California, as well as to Ducks Unlimited, BC Wildlife Federation, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
